The CEO, Alhaji Abdul Rahman Jalloh, and the RTU Project Lead, Mohamed Alhassan Jalloh successfully paid a visit at DAQVAH regional office, Port Loko District.
The visit was primarily to further discuss the official opening of the DAQVAH Charity Foundation North-West Regional Office, situated at Sendugu Road, Port Loko Town. It was agreed based on the applications received, the recruitment of five key staff and five ambassadors would be done on September 22nd. The five key staff to be recruited are; the District Coordinator, the Regional Coordinator, the Finance Manager, the Communications Manager and an Office Assistant.
The Port Loko team was requested to submit list of immediate office equipments needed for the smooth running of the office.
The CEO, Alhaji Abdul Rahman informed the team that they would be organizing a fund raising outing in Freetown on September 16th and that this outing was geared towards raising funds to complete the Mabain Well project in Port Loko; adding that this would be among the first tasks to be implemented by those appointed. The RTU Project Lead, Alhassan Jalloh, informed the team that they would be also responsible for the coordination of the Feed The Needy 9 (FTN 9) project implementation in the North-West Region and that this exercise would target to feed 400 children from each region on September 30th.
Ayoub Joaque, the acting RTU Coordinator, thanked the team for their visit. He assured the team that the recruitment process would capture gender as well as geographical location. He said with the operation of the regional office, many stakeholders would join the foundation and this would create more visibility. He assured the CEO and the Project Lead that the North-West regional office would be very effective in coordinating DAQVAH activities; adding that the FTN 9 Project would be implemented in schools that are in deplorable communities.
