DAQVAH DONATES CLOTHES TO SUCKLING MOTHERS IN MANGE.

DAQVAH Charity Foundation has donated clothes to over 30 suckling mothers as support for the children at the Mange community health centre.

Presenting the items to the nurse-in-charge at the under five section, the focal person of DAQVAH, Ayoub Joaque informed the gathering that the donation is part of DAQVAH’s continued support to the less privileged.

He continued that, the foundation has been operating in Port Loko District for the past 7 years and Bureh Chiefdom had benefited from the School Park project, geometry sets distribution, a well project and the annual Ramadan feeding project etc. Ayoub emphasized on the need to support the less privileged as it is an Islamic practice.

Receiving the items on behalf of the beneficiaries, the nurse in charge of the under 5 section, Nurse Rebecca Ramatu Kamara thanked DAQVAH for the timely intervention, stating that there are people who just gave birth at the facility without any clothes for their babies. She further mentioned that since she has been working at the centre for the past 10 years, this is the first time such donations was made.

She thanked DAQVAH for considering her facility over others in the chiefdom and the District as a whole. She concluded by calling on the beneficiaries to pray for all those who contributed to the foundation.

Bilkisa Bangura from Faidugu village who was one of the beneficiaries, thanked DAQVAH for the support, stating that this was the third time she has benefited from DAQVAH donations after her daughter was supplied a school bag and books at the SLMB primary school Mange and the Ramadan food package she received last Ramadan. She concluded by calling on other beneficiaries to pray for the foundation so that it will continue to support other less privileged in other parts of the chiefdom.

Ramatu Conteh another beneficiary from Makonday village thanked DAQVAH for its timely intervention to rescue her deplorable condition, “since my pregnancy was 4 months old, I have never set eyes on my husband not to talk of sending money to buy clothes for the child.

After giving birth yesterday, I had no clothes for the child unless the old wrapper that was used to wrap her,” she concluded.

Mohamed Kamara from Faidugu village who accompanied his wife and daughter to the clinic thanked DAQVAH for such distribution which he said came unexpectedly and this has helped them as fathers during the tough economic period.

He asked everybody to continue to pray for the foundation so that God will continue to provide for the foundation to continue with such help.

The distribution climaxed with prayers for the foundation and all those that contributed to the distribution.
