As DAQVAH continues its iftar distribution to various individuals, institutions and communities, this week DAQVAH also targeted Masjids and Orphanages. Distribution of bags of rice, bundles of water and cash was done at Masjid Tauhid at Calaba Town, Markaz at Allen Town, Masjid Abdul Karim at Leicester and Ansarul Islamic Orphanage at Deep Eye Water.

“Ramadan is a time for community and togetherness,” explained Yussouf Abass Jalloh, the Program Manager of DAQVAH Charity Foundation. “By ensuring everyone has access to nutritious meals, we can focus on prayer, reflection, and strengthening our bonds with each other. Support to Masjids is part of our work at DAQVAH and today, we are here to give these items from our donors of the Ramadan Empty Bowl Challenge program ,” he ended.

Musa Turay, a member of Masjid Tauhid appreciated and thanked the foundation for thinking of them during these trying times.

Speaking on behalf of the Children, Shiekh Sowe, from the Ansarul Islamic Orphanage, thanked DAQVAH for the donated items and expressed how happy the whole orphanage is. He prayed that Allah continue to provide for the donors and continue to bless the foundation.

“This is a surprise to us as we were not expecting this. May Allah reward you abundantly as you have remembered us,” Musa Kamara from Markaz mentioned.
