Providing educational support and also construction of learning centre for the poor, needy and vulnerable communities, falls under the things the foundation pays keen attention to. Therefore, DAQVAH Charity Foundation donated funds to establish a vocational training centre for widows at Waterloo, under the Cry of Widows Organisation.

The Head of the Cry of Widows Organisation, Shiekh Saeed Abass Bundu was welcomed by the DAQVAH Reach the Unreachable Project Lead (RTU-PL), Mohamed Alhassan Jalloh, who introduced the team to him.

In his statement, he said that the Cry of a Widow Organization is not a new name to the foundation as they have been supported severally and on different occasions, adding that he is overwhelmed that the foundation and the organization has walked through developmental projects over the years. He added that today, DAQVAH invited him to the office inorder to support him with funds to establish a vocational training centre for the widows. “We believe in sustainable development and achieving this will help us support more widows who are vulnerable,” he ended.

Shiekh Saeed Abass Bundu gratified DAQVAH for the support, pointing out that it will help push the work of the vocational training centre. “I came in contact with DAQVAH Charity Foundation in 2017 and you have always supported my organisation for which I am grateful to Allah with lots of praises, and to you,” remarked Shiekh Saeed Abass Bundu. “I pray Allah bless the foundation and this project will be achieved,” he assured.

The Executive Finance Director, Mariatu Sedik Kamara thanked Shiekh Saeed Abass Bundu for his relentless efforts, stating that our meeting seven years ago has yielded nothing but successes which have kept the working relationship progressing. “This journey will continue by Allah and a team will be coming over for capacity building for the widows,” she said.
