As a Foundation that primarily focuses on providing aid to the poor, needy and the less privileged, the DAQVAH Charity Foundation has on Friday 7th of June 2024 responded to the needs of the vulnerable by providing packs of food, drinks and water in the form of lunch along Kissy Road and PZ Roundabout. This exercise benefited 300 needy persons including Persons With Disabilities (PWDs), men, women and children.

Yussouf Abass Jalloh , the Programs Manager, said that the “Feed the Needy” (FTN) project is implemented quarterly and that the donation marked the eighteenth distribution since the establishment of the foundation in July 2015. He added that the FTN is also implemented to compliment the government’s efforts in combating hunger. “Today, we decided to be at the street and provide quality food, water and drinks not just to beggars but to people who are really in need of lunch.” “We continue to call on other people and donors to support us to reach out to more beneficiaries,” he ended.

“I was thinking of how I am going to eat this afternoon, since morning I have not eaten and I saw people distributing food and drinks, so I had to go there and fortunately I received mine. I feel so good upon receiving this package and as they have remembered us, may God bless and be with them always,” Fatmata Sesay a beneficiary at Kissy Road said.

Another beneficiary at PZ said, “I am so happy for receiving the food, this distribution is really timely. May Allah reward you all.”

The distribution successfully ended with lots of prayers from the beneficiaries in both location.
