In a heartwarming initiative, the DAQVAH Charity Foundation extended its unwavering support to university students during a recent event held at the the CEO’s Office at DAQVAH’s Headquarters. Education stands as one of the core pillars of the foundation’s intervention efforts, and each year, DAQVAH assists students from various universities, aiding their journey to becoming accomplished individuals and complementing the government’s efforts in the education sector.

The Executive and Finance Director, Mariatu Sedik Kamara welcomed all students and expressed gratitude to Allah for blessing the foundation to reach out. She said fundraising hasn’t been easy and apologized that the donation was delayed as it would have been done by the end of last year.

Alhaji Abdul Rahman Jalloh, the CEO and founder of DAQVAH, expressed his gratitude and emphasized the source of their funding. “These funds are from our dedicated members who, after Allah, are instrumental in enabling us to carry out our activities and projects. However, the foundation was not able to provide 100% support for all its beneficiaries as fundraising is challenging,” he emphasized. He however said that the team would continue to raise funds in Ramadan and asked that prayers are made for the donors and the foundation.
Most of the beneficiaries shared heartfelt words of appreciation as they stated that many of them have been asked out of classes and prevented to take tests and exams because they haven’t paid their fees. One of them said, “I pray to Allah to elevate the DAQVAH Foundation and provide more support to help us. I deeply appreciate the foundation and also pray for protection against evil eyes.”

The implementation concluded with numerous prayers from the beneficiaries, who left with smiles on their faces, filled with hope and gratitude.
This year, the DAQVAH Foundation supported twelve university students from various institutions with fees ranging from 40 to 80% due to the amount requested:
– 4 students from the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM)
