DAQVAH Extends Ramadan Support to Additional Masjids in Freetown

On the 19th day of Ramadan, the DAQVAH Foundation, an independent Islamic charity, brought smiles and relief to three masjids in Freetown through their generous donations. The support included bags of rice, water, and cash contributions, aimed at providing iftar meals for fasting individuals. This noble initiative is a testament to the foundation’s commitment to aiding those in need, including places of worship.

Yussouf Abass Jalloh, the program manager of DAQVAH emphasized the foundation’s mission during the distribution. He explained, “This support is made possible by Muslims who contributed just Le 50 to help feed a fasting person. All we ask in return are prayers for our donors and the success of our work.” His heartfelt message highlighted the unity and compassion fueling the foundation’s efforts.

At the Eastern Police Masjid, Inspector Deen expressed deep gratitude on behalf of the congregation. “This donation allows us to prepare food for about 450 fasting individuals daily. I encourage every Muslim in this Jama’at to join this organization,” he said, concluding with prayers for the foundation’s donors and dedicated staff.

Fuad Sherrif, representing the Fatmata Zarah Masjid, also conveyed appreciation. “DAQVAH Foundation is no stranger to us. Every Ramadan, you remember this masjid, and this year’s support has come at a perfect time as we begin our Tahajjud prayers. May Allah reward you abundantly,” he stated.

At Masjid Abdul Kareem Leicester, Sheikh Abdul Kareem acknowledged the foundation’s swift response to their call for support at the start of Ramadan. “May Allah accept your work and elevate your organization,” he prayed, commending their dedication to providing iftar for those breaking their fasts at the masjid.

Your effort alone we appreciate not to mention this goodness. May Allah continue to bless the foundation and all those who donated towards the Empty Bowl Challenge.

The event concluded with heartfelt prayers for the foundation, its staff, and the selfless donors who made the initiative possible. DAQVAH Foundation’s unwavering commitment continues to touch lives, spreading blessings and fostering unity during the holy month of Ramadan.
