DAQVAH Joins the Worrehyeama Community for Iftar

Worrehyeama, Makeni, Bombali District, Sierra Leone – Continuing its tradition of fostering togetherness and generosity during the holy month of Ramadan, DAQVAH, an independent Islamic relief foundation, joined the people of the Worrehyeama Community for a special Iftar (breaking of fast).

The Chief Executive Officer, Alhaji Abdul Rahman Jalloh, addressing the gathering, warmly acknowledged DAQVAH’s previous connection with the community over six years ago. He emphasized the foundation’s commitment to supporting the people of Worrehyeama through various initiatives and projects. He remarked, “DAQVAH is not new to you, and today we are here to break fast together as a family, hoping for the reward of Allah.”

The food for the Iftar was thoughtfully prepared by the community members themselves, utilizing funds generously donated by Muslims in support of DAQVAH’s Ramadan Empty Bowl Challenge. This initiative, which encourages contributions during Ramadan, aims to provide meals for communities in need and uphold the spirit of compassion and sharing.

The event was filled with heartfelt prayers and gratitude, reflecting the unity and spiritual essence of Ramadan. DAQVAH’s participation underscored its dedication to creating meaningful connections and providing essential support to vulnerable communities across Sierra Leone.

The foundation continues to call for donations to further its mission of aiding those in need during Ramadan, ensuring that no bowl remains empty. Donations can be made via the following numbers: 076363131 or 090363131. May Allah reward all contributors abundantly. Ameen.
