DAQVAH Extends Support to Widows and Imams

In a heartwarming gesture during the holy month of Ramadan, DAQVAH, an independent Islamic relief foundation, made donations to widows and Imams in Kabala, Koinadugu District. The foundation, established in July 2015 to support marginalized individuals, particularly women and children, provided bags of rice, water, and cash gifts to aid in the breaking of fast to imams and widows.

The Chief Executive Officer, Alhaji Abdul Rahman Jalloh, introduced the team nd expressed gratitude to Allah for making the first visit of such ramadan donation to Kabala possible. He emphasized DAQVAH’s mission to reach “the unreachable” and asked that supplications are made for the donors.

Memunatu S. Wann, District Chairlady of the United Council of Imams Women Support Wing, expressed her heartfģelt gratitude to DAQVAH. She praised the organization for its generosity and appealed for sustainable initiatives to support widows, who often struggle to care for their children.

In response, CEO Alhaji Abdul Rahman Jalloh highlighted DAQVAH’s ongoing support for similar causes, mentioning their work of constructing a vocational center for the Cry of Widows Association in Freetown. He assured the gathering that the team would deliberate on the appeal for long-term support.

Shk Ibrahim Sow, one of the Imams also expressed appreciation for the foundation’s contributions, offering prayers for all who donated towards DAQVAH’s “Empty Bowl Challenge Campaign.” Beneficiaries joined in prayers, invoking blessings for the foundation and its donors.
