Ramadan Day 25- Update

DAQVAH Charity Foundation extended its generous Caravan Feeding initiative to two Masjids and the streets of Jui, providing essential support to fasting individuals during the holy month of Ramadan.
Yussouf Abass Jalloh, the Programs Manager, explained that the Caravan is an activity designed by the foundation to distribute packs of prepared meals, accompanied with water and drinks to those who face challenges in securing Iftar meals. “The Caravan aims to help Muslim who find it difficult to access food to break their fast, especially those traveling in vehicles or those who cannot afford Iftar and rely on the Masjid for their meal,” he said.

This noble effort is funded by Muslim donors, each contributing as little as Le 50 to feed a fasting individual. On this occasion, 300 beneficiaries received food packages, expressing their heartfelt gratitude and prayers for the foundation and its donors.

One of the recipients, upon receiving the food, inquired if it was specifically for Imams. When informed that it was for anyone breaking their fast, he replied, “Alhamdulillah, thank you. I missed Suhur because I didn’t have food, but now I can save this for tomorrow’s Suhur.”

Another beneficiary, Hassan Conteh, shared his gratitude, saying, “I was just about to ask the apprentice to buy me a drink to break my fast when you gave me this food package. May Allah bless the providers. For I will now save my money for something else.”

With only a few days of Ramadan remaining, DAQVAH encourages more donations to sustain this impactful initiative. Contributions can be made via 076363131 or 090363131. Together, we can continue making a meaningful difference.
