In a heartwarming display of community support, DAQVAH Charity Foundation has donated three sewing machines to the Cry of Widows Association. This generous contribution is aimed at bolstering the vocational training center with equipment to support students.
During the donation ceremony held at the center, DAQVAH’s Chief Executive Officer and founder, Alhaji Abdul Rahman Jalloh addressed attendees, introducing his remarkable team and highlighting the foundation’s long-term commitment to supporting vulnerable communities. “We have been supporting this organization from its early days in Kenema, that’s over 8 years ago and we have continued our efforts as it relocated to Freetown. After contributing significantly to the construction of this vocational training center, today, we are pleased to further our support with this donation, and we hope to do more with Allah’s help,” he stated. Mr Jalloh emphasized the foundation’s core focus on aiding widows and orphans, calling it a priority area for their charitable interventions. “All we ask for in return is your prayers for our members and our foundation,” he concluded.

Sheikh Sahid Bangura, founder of the Cry of Widows Association, warmly welcomed the DAQVAH team and expressed profound gratitude for their continued support over the years. “The funding from DAQVAH has been instrumental in constructing our vocational training center. I wouldn’t have been able to achieve this without their generous support,” he shared. Sheikh Bangura also acknowledged the impact of the new sewing machines on the center’s tailoring department. “This gift is huge for us, and we thank you deeply. It will significantly enhance the training we provide and empower many women in our community,” he said.
Ejatu Kamara, the head of the vocational center, echoed the gratitude, expressing excitement about the new resources and the positive change they would foster.

The event concluded with heartfelt prayers from the beneficiaries, who expressed their joy and appreciation for DAQVAH’s ongoing commitment to supporting the community. Their excitement was palpable, as the donation marks yet another milestone in the partnership aimed at uplifting the lives of widows and orphans in the region.
With such collaborative efforts, DAQVAH Charity Foundation and the Cry of Widows Association continue to pave the way towards a brighter future for many deprived women.
