DAQVAH Charity Foundation successfully held its annual Mid-Year Retreat on June 14th and 15th at Javohey House, Imatt, gathering thirteen committed staff members under the theme “Fundraising and Sustainable Growth.” The two-day retreat served as a reflective checkpoint to assess progress on organizational goals and chat the course for the remainder of the year.
Opening the retreat, the Chief Executive Officer Alhaji Abdul Rahman Jalloh reaffirmed its purpose: “The retreat offers us the opportunity to evaluate the progress of plans set during our Annual Retreat, now that six months have gone by. It’s a time to reflect, learn, and realign for the quarters ahead.”

Day One focused on performance reviews and reflections. Heads of various units presented on their objectives, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and proposed pathways moving forward. The CEO provided a detailed six-month analysis across all units, evaluating performance outcomes from the first two quarters of 2025.

Day Two was dedicated to planning for the months ahead. Participants engaged in strategic discussions around key initiatives, including the upcoming Annual Fundraising Dinner and Awards, strategies for membership registration and retention, and development of an activity roadmap for the third and fourth quarters.
A highlight of the retreat was a surprise visit from long-time supporter and dedicated member Mr. Sulaiman Bah, who shared words of encouragement: “Ten years is a long journey. Challenges will always be there, but with focus and teamwork, you will overcome them. Your efforts have inspired me to remain committed, and I will work to bring others on board. May Allah grant us success in this life and the hereafter.”

The retreat closed with prayers, a celebratory lunch, and team photos—symbolizing both gratitude and renewed motivation for the Foundation’s path forward.
