DAQVAH Charity Foundation on the seventh day of Ramadan donated bags of rice, bundles of water and cash to 15 households. This donation was done at the Sambaia Bendugu Town, benefiting Imams primarily.

DAQVAH’s focal person, Senesie Mansaray introduced the team and reminded the beneficiaries of a key distribution that DAQVAH did two year ago within their community which was the Ramadan feeding and clothing project.

Speaking during the distribution, the CEO and founder of DAQVAH, Alhaji Abdul Rahman Jalloh informed the beneficiaries that DAQVAH is in their community to give support to the vulnerable but especially to the Imams as they are our spiritual leaders making lots of efforts in Ramadan but mostly neglected. And the foundation wanted to ensure that they were not left out during these trying times to enable them observe the blessed month of Ramadan. He ended saying, “We don’t know any of you personally, but we drove 6 hours to reach you through a very rough terrain. We don’t need anything from you but all we ask is duah for those that contributed and for the foundation to have more donors.”

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mohamed K Jalloh, the chief Imam at Masjid Bilal, thanked DAQVAH for the donated items and expressed how happy the Imams were as the foundation just rescued them. He prayed that Allah continue to provide for the donors and reward them with Jannah. “We ask Allah to open more doors for the foundation so that they can reach out to more needy Muslims,” he ended.

The team retuned to Freetown and had Iftar together with other needy Muslims at Monkey Bush, Waterloo.
