DAQVAH Charity Foundation has officially opened its new office on Saturday 4th March at Leicester in a meeting held together with staff and the Board Members.

The CEO and Founder of DAQVAH, Alhaji Abdul Rahman Jalloh after welcoming the Board and all staff, gave a background to the new office of which he said was triggered by the visit of the Board Chair, Dr. Ramadan Jalloh after visiting the team at their Main Bass Street Office and urged the team to get a more conducive location. “Our purpose of meeting today is to show you our new office, seek your supplication for continued guidance and also give you reports of our 2022 activities,” he concluded.

Heads of the various Units did presentation on activities implemented, successes made and challenges they faced during the 2022 fiscal year, of which Board members asked questions and contributed meaningfully to all presentations.

On the Statement from the Board Members, Lawyer Abdallah Malik Sesay thanked all staff for what he described as a wonderful job. “I was touched by the presentations as DAQVAH is reaching out to the most deprived communities. I am impressed and I am encouraging you all to continue the work and we will also do our best to continue our support towards the foundation,” Lawyer Abdallah ended.

Lawyer Chernor Maju Jalloh, another board member also expressed how much he was impressed by the foundation’s work especially when it is managed by young people. He added that the foundation has made huge progress by securing a more conducive and spacious office.

In his statement, the Board Chair, Dr. Ahmad Ramadan Jalloh joined his colleagues to thank Allah for the opportunity to be part of DAQVAH and reiterated that DAQVAH is like a whole government with proper systems, record keeping and accountability. He stressed that Islam has taught us to be honest, accountable and transparent and that the foundation was doing just that. He advised the team that in as much as they are making progress, the goals should now be focusing on sustaining the foundation through self income and implementing more impactful projects. He thanked the team for securing the new office space and says it’s a new opportunity for more donors. He concluded by making supplications and asking for Allah’s continuous guidance and protection, which officially declared office opened.

The opening was climaxed with the Board Members having a tour of the various offices.
