On the 28th day of Ramadan, DAQVAH, in collaboration with ANIQ Modesty, distributed over 300 Eid clothes and hijabs to over 100 households in Kendimawa, Yagbah and Ketima Villages, Moyamba District. The initiative, part of DAQVAH’s “Clothing and Mudu” project, aimed to support families in need, ensuring they could celebrate Eid in dignity and joy. Aniq Modesty also launched the Hijab for Her Campaign which aimed at providing hijab for less privileged Muslimahs in the month of Ramadan.

Alhaji Abdul Rahman Jalloh, the Chief Executive Officer and founder of DAQVAH addressing household heads in Kendimawa Village reminisced about their visit six years ago in the same village to implement a similar project and emphasized DAQVAH’s continued mission as an independent Islamic charity. “We are here again in collaboration with Aniq Modesty to support you with beautiful clothes, hijabs, rice and cash for Eid. As Muslims, we are encouraged to look beautiful on Eid day after fasting for 29 or 30 days,” he explained. Alhaji Jalloh concluded by urging the beneficiaries to pray for the donors and the foundation.

Joseph Sellu, the Town Chief of Kendimawa Village, expressed his gratitude for DAQVAH’s timely intervention. “May Allah bless your donors for this goodness,” he said.

Local residents also shared their appreciation. Yealie Koroma remarked, “I remember you came here some years ago to give us similar support, and seeing you today makes me extremely happy. My kids and I have received these gifts and may Allah continue to bless the foundation.”

Imam Yusuf Allieu Jimmy added, “Words cannot express my gratitude. I was worried about getting new clothes for Eid, but Allah has made it easy. Alhamdulillah! As you have put smiles on our faces, may Allah reward you abundantly and grant you safe travels.”
The initiative concluded with prayers and heartfelt smiles from the beneficiaries, highlighting the profound impact of DAQVAH’s charitable efforts.
