DAQVAH Supports Cry of Widows Association At Waterloo

On March 4th, 2025, the DAQVAH Charity Foundation demonstrated its commitment to support widow, one of its key intervention areas by making a significant donation to the Cry of Widows Association. The foundation provided bags of rice, bundles of water, and cash to help the widows observe the holy month of Ramadan.

Speaking during the presentation, DAQVAH’s Executive Finance Director, Mariatu Sedik Kamara, highlighted the foundation’s ongoing dedication to the widow association. “DAQVAH is not new to you,” she said, addressing the widows. “Every year, we ensure we support your organization. We ask Allah to accept our fasting and also remember us in your prayers,” she concluded.

Sheikh Sahid Bangura, founder of the Cry of Widows Association, expressed profound gratitude for DAQVAH’s support over the years. “I am blessed to receive this kind of goodness,” he stated. “For seven years now, DAQVAH has been supporting my organization starting from Kenema and now in Waterloo. May Allah continue to bless the foundation and all those who donated towards the Empty Bowl Challenge.”

The widows and their families offered heartfelt prayers for the foundation and its donors, thanking them for their generosity and dedication to making a difference in their lives.

This act of kindness underscores DAQVAH’s steadfast mission to bring hope and relief to vulnerable communities, especially during significant times such as Ramadan.
