DAQVAH Charity Foundation has donated bags of rice, bundles of water and cash to Muslim students of the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, UNIMTEC and Milton Margai University.
The Data and Research Coordinator of DAQVAH, Umar Osaio Kamara during the presentations, introduced the team and informed the students that DAQVAH was at their universities to give support to Muslim students in observing the blessed month of Ramadan. He informed them that the sponsors of the distribution are the people who participated in the Empty Bowl Challenge. “During this blessed month, all we ask of you is to make lots of prayers for our donors and the Foundation”, he concluded.
Musa Menk, the President of the Limkokwing University Muslim Jamaat, appreciated the foundation for their efforts to boost the Jamaat, as he said the donation came at the right time for the Jamaat as they are planning to organise an Iftar. “Over the years, after Allah, for us to have successful Iftar has been due to DAQVAH and upon receiving this, we are happy and we ask Allah to grant you the Barakah Ameen”, he concluded.
Abdulai Kamara, the Chief Imam for UNIMTEC thank the foundation for coming to their rescue as it has not been easy for the Jamaat because on a daily basis Iftar is prepared for the students in the university. “We ask Allah to continue to provide for you, those supporting you and may this partnership between us continue”, he ended.
“Our Jamaat is extremely happy to receive such donations as we were not expecting this from DAQVAH. Quran told us that, he who is not grateful to Allah and do not say thank you will not say thank you to his fellow man. Thanks and appreciation to DAQVAH for coming all the way to support us and may Allah reward you”. Gibril Sesay the Imam for Milton Margai University stated.
Prayers were made by the students for the foundation and their donors.
