DAQVAH donates Food to Njala University and the Central University .

DAQVAH Charity Foundation has on the 9th day of Ramadan, donated bags of rice, bundles of water and cash donations to Muslims of two universities. This donation was done at all the three campuses of the Njala University, which included the Torwama, Kowama and Mokonde Campuses in Bo and the Central University at Mile 91.

The CEO and founder, Alhaji Abdul Rahman Jalloh, during the presentation, introduced the team and informed the beneficiaries that they are in their universities to give support to Muslim students in observing the blessed month of Ramadan. He emphasized on the need to support Muslims especially students who have left their various homes from different parts of the country to study. “Over the six to seven years, DAQVAH has been supporting you and in Ramadan we do not forget you. Noting that It was so challenging to get food and other items, especially during Ramadan. The foundation is open to student who wish to go for internship in various units like the Communications, Data and Research, Programs and Admin and Finance”, he concluded.

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Ibrahim Rogers, the Financial Secretary of the University of Njala Kowama Muslim Jamaat appreciated the foundation for their efforts to boost the Jamaat, adding that they were expecting the Ramadan donations from DAQVAH as it is so challenging for them as students to get food for Iftar and on a daily basis they try to prepare seventy cups of rice for iftar.

“Alhamdulilah, as a Jamaat we appreciate DAQVAH for their support as this is not the first time they have been supporting us. We ask Allah to provide for the donors and reward them abundantly”, Mohamed Lamin Sesay, the Chief Imam of the Njala Torwama University mentioned.

The Chairman of the Central University, Ishmail Conteh thanked DAQVAH for the donated items and for supporting their university in terms of providing space for internship and other projects. He continued saying that, the donation was timely as they prepare iftar daily and thank the staff for their relentless efforts asking other students to emulate them. “This act of charity has reached the hands of Allah and you have gain the reward for coming with it and this is a blessed month, imagine the reward you and donors have earned today,” he ended.

Supplications were made by the beneficiaries for DAQVAH and their donors.
