Daqvah, has provided Eid Clothes and ‘Mudu’ to vulnerable Muslims in Kambia through its Muslim Aid project which is one of the foundation’s areas of intervention. Providing clothes for the needy muslim has been a core activity for the foundation for the past eight years.

Thus, on the 28th day of Ramadan, DAQVAH distributed Eid clothes, packs of rice (Mudu) and cash to over 100 needy Muslims from 5 villages in the Kambia District.

The Daqvah team was welcomed by the traditional chiefs in each of the villages and introduction of the team members was done to all Muslims and community members present

Yusufu Conteh the Head Man for Fonkoyah Village, while welcoming the foundation to his community mentioned that he and his people are very happy as this is a dream come true. “I had a dream about this last night in which my people will receive good deeds and Alhamdulillah it is here”, he stated.

Mohamed Alhassan Jalloh, DAQVAH Reach the Unreachable Project Lead started off with the purpose of the visit, “We are in your various communities as a foundation to give clothes to those Muslims who can’t afford it as Allah said, after fasting all Muslims should wear the best of clothes and go for Eid prayers. This is something the foundation has been doing and Alhamdulillah today we are here at Kambia”, he ended.

Receiving the gift at such a difficult moment Adikalie Kamara expressed gratitude “I am the most happiest in the village today, as I have been wondering on how to perform Eid prayers without any new clothes. With the blessings of Allah, DAQVAH has made my Eid”.

“I am very excited to recieve this gift as I was not expecting this and may Allah reward the donors and continue to bless DAQVAH ” Mariatu Conteh stated.
